Australian Standard Method of Measurement (ASSM):

  • Section 12
  • We use the ASSM to describe the scope for glazing as a guide only
  • Any agreed or contract scope of work will more than likely vary from the scope of work under the ASSM
  • The scope of work set out in Rawlinsons also varies from the scope of work under the ASSM
  • The ASSM often includes the same items of work under multiple Sections

Scope of work under ASSM:

  • Glazing including lead lights and copper l lights | double glazed units | south lights and glazing bars | applied reflective finishes | acrylic and polycarbonate sheeting | all glazing material assemblies | louver blades | mirrors | panes of silvered glass | face processing | edge processing | silicon jointing and similar items | glass blocks

Australian/New Zealand Standards:

  • AS/NZS 4667:2000 Quality requirements for cut-to-size and processed glass
  • AS/NZS 4668:2000 Glossary of terms used in the glass and glazing industry

Other relevant Standards or Guidelines:

  • AS/NZS 2208 and AS/NZS 2208:1996/Amdt 1:1999 (safety glazing materials)
